Avatar Adventures

Avatar Adventures is an interactive learning tool for children with learning differences like autism, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, and others. We use 3D avatars in immersive environments that let children practice real-life situations and work on different goals like social, communication, educational and behavioral skills.

Your child can have a personalized experience from the safety & comfort of your home. Learning & therapy has never been such fun before!

What is an Avatar Adventure?

Avatar Adventures introduces computer-generated cartoon characters that interact with the child and provide therapy via this medium in a fun, safe and judgment-free manner. The software and avatars have been created by Invirtua Inc. and the experience is controlled by an “avatar-pilot,” a professional who operates the animation system and the video call each time to meet with the child and his parent. The main utility of this program is to create a fun, engaging atmosphere for learning new things.

What is your Gain?

How can Avatar Adventures benefit my child?

Children learn better in an anxiety free environment. Our avatars will help your child navigate real life situations that he/she might encounter and find stressful. They can creatively express themselves and learn new things in a safe space.

How can my child learn better with Avatar Adventures?

We have different avatars, each with a unique voice and personality which is matched to your child’s next goal. Every session is planned with the assistance of the therapist/parent to include interactive learning material like presentations, videos or backgrounds.

Why is Avatar Adventures different from any other therapy experience?

The avatar pilot will find common interests and shared experiences to develop trust between the avatar and your child, irrespective of their age, gender or other differences.

How does this work?

We often plan the session in advance with the parent/therapist’s advice. When your child joins the session virtually, our avatar will be waiting for them on screen. Your child can engage in a completely immersive experience from the comfort & safety of your own home.

Avatar Adventures
These avatars have been meticulously developed by Team Invirtua. They have successfully worked with kids on the autism spectrum using these characters. Moreover, their work has been published in Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders (RASD), Elsevier as "Effectiveness of avatar-delivered instruction on social initiations by children with ASD." This study was performed by the Department of Counseling Psychology & Special Education, Brigham Young University, USA.
